Reel Day / Privacy

Your data, clearly.

For the Reel Day app, widgets, website, and support email.

No account required. Film history stays on your device. Firebase analytics help us understand how Reel Day is used.

On your device

Preferences, film history, and cached film details and images are stored locally and shared with the widget. Reel Day does not upload your history to its own server. Device backups may include app data, depending on your Apple settings; the app has no iCloud sync, diary, or in-app purchases.

Usage analytics

Google Analytics for Firebase receives widget installation and size information, widget taps, archive opens, and sharing actions: preview opens, destination selections, image saves, caption copies, handoffs, and completion, cancellation, or failure. A completed handoff does not mean a post was published.

Events may include the chosen destination, but not the shared image, caption, film title, social account, or installed-app list. Firebase also collects automatic activity such as sessions, app and device information, and an app-instance identifier. Network information may be used to derive approximate location. These are installation-level events, not only anonymous totals; Reel Day does not supply your name, email, or account ID.

The app excludes advertising-identifier support, disables vendor-identifier collection and advertising personalization, and does not use analytics for cross-app advertising. Retention depends on the Analytics property settings. See Firebase’s privacy information and Google’s privacy policy.

Film services

The app and widgets request artwork and, when needed, film details from TMDB. TMDB receives your IP address and request information, including the requested film or image—not your local film history. Its privacy policy covers its processing and retention.

Sharing and permissions

Sharing sends your chosen content to the destination service under its privacy policy. Reel Day does not upload cards to its own server or publish without your confirmation in the destination app. It does not request contacts, microphone, or precise-location access.

  • Photos: Save image requests add-only access. Where direct TikTok sharing is enabled, it requests Limited or Full Photos access and sends the generated card’s Photos identifier, app identification, and callback link to TikTok. Only that card is looked up; other photos are not scanned or uploaded. Saved cards remain until you delete them. TikTok may return sharing, draft, cancellation, or error status; Reel Day does not request TikTok login credentials.
  • Instagram: Posts use a temporary image file; Stories and Reels place selected media on the clipboard. Reels videos are generated locally, and temporary video files are removed after handoff preparation.
  • Captions: Copy caption puts the quote, credit, and app link on your clipboard. X and Threads text shortcuts send that caption.

Support email

Emailing our support address shares your address, message, and attachments with the developer through Gmail. We use them to respond and resolve issues, keeping them only as needed for follow-up or legal obligations. Request deletion at the same address. Avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Google’s privacy policy applies to Gmail.

This website

Cloudflare hosts and protects this site and may process IP addresses and technical request data under its privacy policy. Reel Day adds no website analytics scripts, advertising, tracking cookies, contact forms, or third-party fonts. External sites have their own privacy practices.

Your choices and deletion

Clear cached posters in the app’s storage settings and manage Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. Deleting Reel Day removes its local app data and stops further app analytics collection; it does not erase existing backups, saved Photos cards, posts, or data already held by Google or other services.

Email us for access, correction, or deletion requests. Analytics records are identified by installation rather than email, so we may need additional information to locate them. Manage backups and shared content with Apple or the destination service.

Children

Reel Day is a general-audience app, not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address deletion.

Contact and changes

Reel Day is operated by its independent developer. Contact the developer through Support for privacy questions. We update this policy when our practices change; the date above shows the latest revision.
